Eating Out

Our absolute favourite place to eat in this part of the world is The Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton (just five miles from East Witton) with its emphasis on classic seafood dishes – the fish is always impeccably fresh. Just a few minutes walk fromBoutique 39 is The Blue Lion, which is three times winner of the Dining Pub of the Year. We love it! If you go up to Aysgarth Falls you could also try the Aysgarth Falls Hotel which has a really decent menu and relies on lots of local produce. In Middleham itself are the White Swan and the Richard III pubs which serve proper pub food (the Richard the Third is well known for its excellent pies).
