The Wensleydale village of East Witton provides the stunning setting for Boutique 39, our cottage with a difference. This charming traditional stone built cottage has been lovingly restored and modernised to create a comfortable and stylish holiday home with a host of thoughtful and generous details that make Boutique 39 the perfect country retreat.

Attention to detail defines the interior design of this cottage – our spacious, light filled sitting room has a grown up colour scheme of mustard and grey with leather armchairs, two sumptuous sofas and stylish pops of colour. To make things really cosy there’s a wood burning stove in the original stone fireplace for nights in enjoying the large Ultra 4K HD SMART TV and Ultra 4K HD Player with a range of discs.

We’re art enthusiasts and we hope you’ll enjoy the pieces from our art collection that we’ve placed in the cottage – these include cheerful, colourful work by Richmond based artist Lucy Pittaway

We love cooking and entertaining and this is reflected in Boutique 39’s kitchen / diner, which has everything you need (large gas range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, plus nutri-bullet, Nespresso coffee machine, wine cooler and even a sound system) built into a classic, traditional kitchen. So if you’re not out enjoying one of the many fabulous local eateries, you can really cook up a storm – a dinner party for friends, a delicious family meal or a romantic meal for two.

From the dining table and through the patio doors there are views across green paddocks to Wensleydale, making this a delightful place to enjoy food, company and the beautiful surroundings.

The patio doors lead out to our beautiful, enclosed rear garden, perfect for BBQs and picnics. The terrace has a patio table with chairs and parasol or for more comfortable lounging in the garden you could try our raised patio with its comfy rattan furniture – ideal for watching the sunset while enjoying a chilled glass or two of Pinot Grigio!

Upstairs is where it gets really glamorous – we love French style and when we found the Louis XIV style king sized bed and co-ordinating armoire we decided it would be perfect for Boutique 39’s master bedroom. Of course there’s also a TV and Blu-ray DVD player in this really luxurious boudoir!

The generously sized second bedroom also boasts a king sized bed with plush grey velvet headboard, as well as breathtaking Dales views and a TV and PlayStation.

The glamour continues into the bathroom with its stunning free-standing copper bath, walk-in monsoon shower and mirror TV. We couldn’t resist the elegant gilt framed mirror which looks stunning above the bath. Please bring your favourite beauty products with you but remember that we provide gorgeous Molton Brown soap and hand cream, as well as hair dryer and straighteners.
